Getting Started With Your Contractor |
- Make sure you have a valid signed contract with your contractor
- Secure house, valuables, and move furniture out of way so contractor can perform work
- Confirm the contractor has pulled the proper permits
- Agree upon workweek schedule and discuss completion timetable
- Agree upon whether working weekends or after five o'clock is permissible or discouraged
- Discuss dust minimization practices and preventative measures
- If necessary, get Homeowners Association approval or city approval for work to be done
